Greenview Baptist Church - Toilet Addition|
Having established a relationship with several church members, John Bowman Architect was commissioned to design a new toilet addition to the existing church. In its current configuration, the existing toilets are located to the rear of the church. Members would have walk toward the front near the pulpit, or exit the church and walk around to the side of the building to access the existing toilets.
The JBA team was able to show the church how they can capture space off of their front entry lobby to provide a new toilet addition for men and women’s toilet. This new design allows members to now exit sanctuary without disturbing the pulpit, and without going outside.
The new design will use a brick skin that will match the exiting church veneer. The design also calls for the salvaging of existing stain glass windows to use in the new addition. Also, the design provides columns on the front and side veneer face to match the entry columns that are currently on the face of the church.
