New Castle- Trenholm Acres Community Center|
John Bowman Architect worked with The Richland County Recreation Commission in their Phase Three (3) Bond Referendum to design and site locate a new community center for the New Castle - Trenholm Acres community. The new design is situated on the old RCRC headquarters site.
This new building will serve the needs of the surrounding community to provide space for fellowship, community meetings, as well as recreational exercise classes. The main interior space is designed to separated into multiple breakout rooms utilizing and operable sound wall. Also, the center has a kitchen that includes a warming double oven, ice machine, and refrigerator.
The exterior skin of the building utilizes a two tone brick veneer with storefront windows. The roof is comprised of architectural shingle and accented at the front entry with a raised column detail and standing seam metal roofing.
