Richland County Landfill New Office Building|
Richland County Procurement retained full architectural services from John Bowman Architect to design it's new Landfill Office Building. The County wanted to replace the current rusted pre-finished metal building with a new modernized building, designed to house the entire solid waste department.
The design encompasses the mixture of a traditional brick skin, horizontal metal wall panels, and aluminum and glass windows. While providing a traditional metal hip roof the overall design provides a contemporary yet simple building.
The interior designed space focuses on an off centered main corridor. On both the left and right hand sides of the corridor are desired staff offices, conference room, break room, locker rooms, and large work rooms that provide space for an open office concept for Landfill staff on the field.
