New W.J. Keenan High School|
John Bowman Architect along with Fuller Ward Architects provided design and construction administration services to design a new 1,200 student high school to replace the existing school
The design utilizes a cross/axial plan in response to faculty needs and wants to control security and student circulation. The development of this plan allows faculty to stand at one central point and look down the corridors of each educational wing.
The new 270,000 sf facility uses the best economical design and constructions practices to adhere to the School District's Budget. The exterior veneer is comprised of a traditional brick skin, mixed with split face block and architectural brackets. The bones of the facility are constructed of masonry and steel with a standing seam metal roof.
